Liberals, Conservatives, and Jesus, part VI: Politics and Religion

The problem that will emerge for science and religion is that the real ultimate object is not an object or an idea from the physical universe or the autonomous mind which functions within it.  What must become of science when it must only draw on its own resources and refuses that outside of results in “the Cosmos is all that is or ever was or ever will be” (Carl Sagan). Matter will become God because we sought him in Matter and did not find him there, so matter becomes Supreme. To Luther, looking for God in the products, the ideas and spiritual propositions, that are producible only in the mind is a journey of exploration into the “God” concept (not God himself), and the idea will then accordingly become “all there is ever will be of God.” Mans’s spirit, his feelings, and intuition will then become God because he was sought only in the earth-bound spirit of man and its products. Products of matter become innovative not by the force of their own practicality to solve carnal problems, but because they affect the improvement of man’s sickening spirit.

What is Happening to us?

What is becoming lost is that products of that can come only out of the hand of man or mind are “true” not by the force of their own revelation, but only when they point symbolically to a phenomenon of transcendence shown there and within the world that is accessible to all. This phenomenon is being replaced by the phenomenon of the miracle of matter in innovation, giving cause to think that the power and object of the autonomous mind, from there these innovations come,  is also a self-revealing miracle. Man becomes God.

The problem for Christianity is that faith is not a product to emerge, in terms of what informationally and transcendentally inspires it, out of the human subjective state, nor is that which is to move the human subjective experience to transcendence a state of faith which is without demonstrated transcendent and revealed information. If it is nonetheless thought so, a natural and completely uninspired faith will be transformed into opaque subjectivity, and opaque subjectivity will be become thought spiritual, righteous, saving and all-powerful.

The Catholic Church is the conservative symbol, maleness. It invested itself in personal authority and power and put as much confidence in its tradition than its divine document. It manhandled, if you will, theology to obey the divinely imposed limits of “law” conceived only as of the rule of the direction of matter, the body, the behavior of man.  Its “spirit” is enclosed, translated and transferred to man by the matter of the Eucharist, the Church, Holy Orders, Apostolic Authority, the Magisterium, the confessional, the Pope. Mediation between Christ and man is through the priest rather than Christ alone, they persist being an ordained individual who symbolizes Christ. The results of personal interpretation of the Bible is forbidden without Church sanction. The “saints” are particular, righteous Christian dead, not all believers. The Church owns the truth, and one must pay it, effectively, in order to acquire it.

Liberalism and Conservatism: A Great Fall

The problem is we can’t find God positively proven residing in Matter, a fallen individual, an Order or Law that can be devised and maintained by Man in order to be effective to salvation. The only way is that if Matter, the fallen individual, Order or Law is proven coming out of and residing in a divine objective, positively proven and maintained Revelation ordained by Him for Man’s salvation. If

Protestantism is a liberal movement because it injects feminism into this, which is the same liberalism we know in politics today. A de-emphasis on law and an emphasis on individual feeling and experience, but a de-emphasis on the right sides corrupt idea of Law for an emphasis on a corrupt kind of faith. Preference for the inclusion of all instead of a privileged few. Of personal freedom instead of law. Of a priority of the dignity of the individual instead of the money-making industry or self-declared authority. Of direct access to benefits instead of through merit and qualification.

As I said before, this too is a prophecy that will fail, because there is no place for it to innovate except into a self-involved dissolution. The protestant shift is from the immanent representation of God in Matter to Holy concepts of God in which God effectively resides. From radical objectivism to radical subjectivism. But “God” or “Jesus” are concepts with no intrinsic power to reveal anything about God themselves. Nevertheless, “Christ,” the idea, will increasingly be thought in the same way as a transcendent personal concept who is not thought mediating himself to man through an inflexible, alien, transcendent biblical information. Its a mediation through any or all biblical information, because this conforms to the liberal or feminine overarching priority for freedom from external human, temporal, conservative or “masculine authority from objectivity.

Luther thought that whatever was anti-Catholic, since it was in error (and, yes, it certainly was), was pro-God and would free up man to see God without the corrupt, anti-biblical filter. Luther thought that “faith” was a particular transcendent gift from God without a particular transcendent reason for God giving it or for man receiving it. Luther thought that faith was sufficiently informed by Habakkuk 2:4, but outside of the very narrow context of it as messianic prophecy. Can Man find Christ through the “Bible” concept?

If you do not understand this point, I don’t know what more I can do. Perhaps it is beyond my meager expressive abilities. But I will take one last stab at it.

Conservatism and liberalism are really about a battle over qualities and quantities as properties of “truth.” It’s a language game, and when we don’t realize and act on this truth we participate in the downfall of the faith.

“Quality” refers to species, kind, or type in this discussion. Quantity refers to their number, size or general magnitude. Quality goes to observation, quantity to thought about the observation and what we do with it as a consequence. Quantity is the limitation on quality, making it measurable, countable, visible. It establishes the extent of its presence, the amount of regard and influence that it should be given as a presence.

Quality is phenomenal. It goes directly into the experience, into the psyche, and effects it on the basis of what it is in and of itself. Quantity is what becomes necessary when we don’t experience that quality for what it is, but when it is ambiguous to some degree. We then study and measure it to determine how the extent of what we do know can be integrated, collated, classified and merged into everything else like it that we have come to know.

Corrupt history is quantity overtaking quality, the conservative, because the touted quality never was ideal. Therefore it is in need of ideational reformation. Quantity, immanence, carnality, subjectivity, sensibility, dimension, gravity, is then the only thing that we have to keep moving into the future, pushing out quality more and more, but this priority for quantity is an expectation of glory never becomes real.

Conservatism always takes quality, about the experience if the divine object, as sufficient to cover quantitative limitations. “God” covers its factual limitations. The authority of the Church covers the range of interpretative options. The priest covers the concept and function of mediation. The object covers the miraculous. The doctrinal concept covers particular information about God, and itself informs of such information. The authority, the object of quality, is established as immanent, available to the senses, but it does not show objective qualitative signs of transcendence. God recedes slowly to be absorbed into the mind as a disposable idea because it loses its miraculous quality of presence.

Liberals, on the other hand, reject a kind of God that is exclusively conceived as One person to faith, or one way to faith, its absolute limitation, in exchange for its universal concept for the idiosyncratic individual, because of the assumed myriad possible, optional, non-transcendent quantities that are increasingly allowed to interpret it.  A non-transcendent quantity is one that is not congruent to its assumed transcendent quality. To be congruent it would be a special and narrow quantity that is singularly transcendent, as is the Quality. It is not, in the conservative view, know/believe A, B, C and D and you will understand-know God. For the left, feminine side it is “believe whatever you want and you will understand-know God.” Quantity, or the possible reasons or motivations and sources, becomes unlimited. Who God is will no longer controlled, and therefore in time will not be found or even thought a possibility because there are so many choices of who and what he is, none of which are transcendentally limiting.

Liberalism is a lost cause. The female is dominating the male principle, and there is no turning back until atheism reigns and the world comes apart, since without the God concept, revealed or not, the ruling of the imagination is in a force not to be conceived above man, and nothing is then unlawful to him. Liberals no longer have a clue who God is or why anyone should think about the idea outside of personal choice. Personal choice, what they call freedom from Law, is king, and such a king places no qualifying test for this God to be objectively true except that which is found equally in a million possible choices.

Conservatism, on the other hand, plays the game of speaking of religious concepts as self-sufficient to represent God, never daring to limit or narrow them to a quantity of a single miraculous source of biblical information because if they did their faith would be subject to it alone, which is a kind of divine authority they will not have reign over them (Luke 19:14). They relented to the feminine pressure to subject their concepts to the quantities of feeling, pride, inclusiveness, universality, idiosyncrasy, the superiority of the person to the absolute, authoritative idea or law. They teach unwittingly that there is no reason anymore to believe in their ideas if the idea itself is insufficient to do so, and are ideas that never did and never will have the power to independently show themselves as demonstratively, miraculously true.

In short,  when you hear about someone not believing in Jesus as the only way to God because they don’t like the idea of one way to Him, they are putting the number of multiple ways over the quantity of one way, because personal freedom to determine truth is worshiped above all. This defaults to atheism because human freedom can never bring about or bring back utopia.

When you hear  “Jesus,” this is meant to signify only his Person, not his transcendent information from the prophets as the only way to the Father, this is the worship of the idol of the quality of the miraculous personal concept which is not qualified by God’s only supernatural signifying revelation. This way, Man can never bring back the phenomenal, direct, personal experience of the local God of Paradise.

It is Jesus and the words of the prophets, the transcendent Person and the transcendent information that is Utopia and “truth.”  But conservatism and liberalism, male and female, is an anti-revelational paradigm over against it and at war with God.

By the way, the passage I quote in Luke 19 ends a certain way. But all our conservatives no longer know what it means, and liberals just don’t care. But the truth will remain:

Luke 19:26-27 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
